You build a home in my mind translates and embodies the director’s observations on daily life and a way of life. The hand-drawn animation as the main medium not only serves as an incomplete record of imperfect memories, but also bears witness to the way in which Lee processes intimate emotions, relationships and contemplations. The animated films are playfully and poetically placed in the setting of an amusement park, and are accompanied by Lee’s sincere call and hope for empathy.
