Synopsis:
Based in Hong Kong with three iconic local characters, “Stars Avenue” is a short story about Big Buddha, Bruce Leung, and Panda Guy who all share a love for collecting rare sneakers. Big Buddha met his friends at a typical Hong Kong restaurant to discuss about his successful bidding of a pair of rare golden sneakers called “Super Comfort V”.
While discussing, their conversation was overheard by a typical Mongkok gangster who misinterpreted the sneakers for an antique golden Buddha (Super comfort is pronounced similar to super golden Buddha in Cantonese). He followed them to the location where they would be meeting the seller and planned to snatch it from them during the transaction. Things however did not turn out as expected and a series of incidents took place. “Stars Avenue” brings humor to its audience while portraying a fresh impression of Hong Kong’s culture and its people through this delightful story and unique animation styling.
