“The 3rd Animation Support Program” Launching Ceremony
(11 August 2015, Hong Kong) The 3rd Animation Support Program (3rd ASP) was launched today with the 15 animation enterprises selected to participate in the program announced at the ceremony.
The launching ceremony was officiated by Mrs. Janet CHU, Assistant Head of Create Hong Kong of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“CreateHK”), Mr. Gabriel PANG, Chairman of the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association (“HKDEA”), and Mr. Gordon LO, Director (Business Management) of the Hong Kong Productivity Council (“HKPC”).
“The 3rd Animation Support Program”
The Animation Support Program (“ASP”) was firstly launched in 2012 with the aim to support local potentia start-ups and small companies in animation sector by providing the participating enterprises with resources, training program and professional mentorship to produce their original creative animation works that could demonstrate their creativity and technical capability, and to upgrade quality of local animations. Apart from providing funding support and trainings, the ASP will also tailormake promotional activities to be implemented via various channels to help the participating enterprises in finding business partners and getting business opportunities from potential clients.
This year, Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association (HKDEA) organizes the “3rd Animation Support Program” (“3rd ASP”) under the sponsorship of Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) of the Hong
Kong Special Administrative Region Government. The 3rd ASP will continue to nurture animation startups with potential for further development and to support the small animation enterprises to grow up into larger scale and encourage them to create original creative animation works.
